    Step:1 • Remove unwanted and suspicious browser add-ons, toolbar and extensions from web browsers:.

     CtrlAlt From Internet Explorer
    1. Click on the cogwheel icon at the top right corner of the browser.
    2. Choose Manage add-ons from the menu.
    3. Select Toolbar and Extension tab.
    4. Search for  CtrlAlt  or other suspicious add-ons.
    5. Click Disable button.6. Select the following options one by one: Tool ->> Internet Options ->> Advanced ->> Reset7. On Reset IE settings tab, tick Delete personal settings, click Reset button and you will get Reset IE Settings window CtrlAlt
     CtrlAlt from Google Chrome:
    1. Start google chrome
    2. Type chrome://settings/ on the address bar.
    3. Click on the Extensions tab.
    4. Search for CtrlAlt  or other suspicious extensions and delete it.
    5. Reset Homepage and search engine.Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar and select Settings:
    1. Scroll down to the bottom and click Show advanced settings

    • Click Start
    • In the menu choose Control Panel
    • Choose Add / Remove Programs.
    • Find related files.

     CtrlAlt Windows 7 / Vista

    • Click Start and choose Control Panel.
    • Choose Programs and Features and Uninstall a program.
    • In the list of installed programs find files and programs associated to
    • Click Uninstall button.
     CtrlAlt Windows 8 /8.1

    • Right click on the bottom left corner of the desktop screen
    • From the left menu choose Control Panel
    • Click Uninstall a program under Programs and Features.
    • Locate the files and programs associated with or other suspicious program.
    • Click Uninstall button.

    • Open Applications folder (or go to the Menu Bar
    • open the “Go” menu, and select Applications in the list
    • search for Suspicious application, and then drag it to the Trash (in the dock)

    1. While in the desktop view, Press window’s icon and R.
    2. It will open the Run window and type “regedit”.

    4. Go to File<Click Export.
    5. Save the file in c:\ as regbackup. Click save.
    6. Go to Edit< find< Type CtrlAlt ”.
    7. Press F3 to search.
    8. Once an item is found, read to make sure it is a link to that program.
    9. Press delete to remove it.
    10. Continue pressing F3 and deleting items pertaining to the program, until all the links are gone.

    For Mac Users:

    1. Hold down the Option key while looking at the Go menu in Finder to access the ~/Library folder.
    2. Find related entries and delete them one by one. Recheck to ensure all files are deleted.
